When you explore Spain you will find a land diverse in culture, religion, and terrain. On central Holidays 8-Day escorted tour you visit five cities in the south-central interior: Madrid, Cordoba, Seville, Granada, and Toledo. Madrid is renowned for its grand monuments, royal heritage, world-famous arts museums, and cosmopolitan shopping. Cordoba is an ancient city of diverse heritage. Andalucia is the most romantic city in Spain. Seville is Granada, the last strong hold of Muslim rule in Spain and your final destination is Toledo, one of Europe’s oldest cities and home to famous painter El Greco.

Day 1-Madrid – Arrival
Upon arrival in Madrid, Spain you will be met by your local guide and transfer to the hotel, Catalonia Atocha, for the next 3 nights. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to discover one of Europe’s most dynamic capital cities, Madrid. Dinner is on your own this evening.
Day 2-Madrid/Toledo – La Mancha
This morning you depart for a guided city tour of Madrid and some of the most outstanding attractions located in the city. This afternoon you can take an optional tour to Toledo (additional cost). Enter the region of “La Mancha”, a land of hills dominated by vineyards and windmills, made famous by the legend of Don Quixote. Upon arrival into the Imperial city of Toledo, you will visit many of the city’s sights including the Gothic Cathedral and the church of Santo Tome. This afternoon includes sights like Casa del Greco Museum, Sephardic Museum and Santa Maria la Blanca synagogue. Later today return to the hotel in Madrid.
Day 3-Madrid/Seville – Flamenco Show
After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Seville, the capital of Andalucia. Early afternoon arrival and check-in at your hotel in Seville. This afternoon you will visit the Flamenco Museum and enjoy an amazing Flamenco Show. With interactive exhibits showing the origins and evolution of flamenco, the Flamenco museum is considered one of the most technologically advanced museums in Spain. The performance will be held on the patio of the historic building, featuring one of the many styles of flamenco. After the spectacular show, you will stroll into the old quarter to reach a typical restaurant/tavern to sample the mouthwatering Andalusina ‘Tapas’ and drinks. Check into your hotel in Seville for the next 2 nights.
After breakfast, you will enjoy a panoramic tour of Sevilla to admire the beautiful Plaza de Espana & Plaza de America. Your next stop brings is the Cathedral, considered the largest place of worship in Spain. This afternoon is free to discover other interesting highlights of the Andalusian capital such as the Alcazar with its medieval entrance.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before departing for Granada via Ronda. Upon arrival to this monumental village, we will start by walking thru the old city. Here you will find many 15th and 16th Century Palaces, some formerly owned by Catholic Kings. Take some free time and have lunch on your own, then we continue to Granada, the ancient capital of the Arab-Nazari Kingdom. Upon arrival you will enjoy a panoramic city tour and visit the Albaycin. check into your Granada hotel for the next 2 nights.
This morning you will enjoy Spain’s, “Alhambra”. Built on a red hill on top of the old Roman and “Visigoth” ruins, overlooking Granada. During Muslim reign, this majestic fortress was the summer residence of the Arab royalty. The balance of the day is at your leisure.
Morning departure to Madrid. Enroute you will stop for a visit to the monumental city of Cordoba, located on the banks of the Guiadalquivir River. Here you will visit the Mosque of Cordoba. After the capture of Cordoba by the Catholics, the Mosque was converted into a cathedral. Visit the Synagogue and then continue to Madrid. Upon arrival check into the hotel for the evening.
Enjoy breakfast before transferring to the Madrid airport for your flight back to the US.
