The highlight of this tour is an opportunity not to be missed. A tradition since 1634, the world-famous Oberammergau Passion Play is a reenactment of the crucifixion of Christ that occurs once every 10 years in the quaint village of Oberammergau. This is just the beginning of sights to amaze you on this tour. Visit the cuckoo clocks in the Black Forest, stop to visit King Ludwig’s magnificent Newschwantstein Castle, spend a few days in Nuremberg, one of the most prestigious cities of the Middle Ages and an overnight in Munich, home to centuries old buildings and numerous museums.

Itinerary
Day 1 – Munich
Upon your flight arriving in Munich today, meet your tour manager and driver. Then check-in to your hotel enjoy a welcome dinner and retire for the evening. (B,D)
Day 2 – Munich-Oberammergau
This morning transfer to Oberammergau. Enjoy some time on your own before it’s time for the highlight of your vacation: The Passion Play in Oberammergau! Held every 10 years this awesome portrayal is performed and produced by the Community of Oberammergau.
A Passion-dinner is included. Overnight in the area of Oberammergau. (B, D)
Day 3 – Oberammergau-Black Forest
After breakfast depart for Lake Constance, the largest lake in Germany. Then continue to the Black Forest, home of the cuckoo clock. We will make a special stop to visit King Ludwig’s magnificent Newschwantstein Castle. Then, continue through the Black Forest and check-in to your hotel for an overnight stay. (B,D)
Day 4 – Black Forest-Nuremberg
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and then check-out and depart for Nuremberg. Merchants, inventors, and intellectuals made Nuremberg
one of the most prestigious cities of the Middle Ages, where arts and trade flourished under the protection of its castle. We will have a guided tour of the ancient capital of the Duke of Franconie. Check into your hotel and enjoy dinner. (B,D)
Day 5 – Nuremberg-Rothenberg ob der Tauber
Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel and then depart for a full day excursion on the romantic road to Rothenburg
ob der Tauber. View the fine Middle Age heritage old houses, picturesque squares, fountains, towers, shops, and wine cellars. (B)
Day 6 – Nuremberg-Bamberg
Good Morning! Today’s excursion will take you to Bamberg, nicknamed “Franconian Rome.” Bamberg has one of Europe’s largest intact old town centers which is officially recognized at a UNESCO World Heritage site. (B)
Day 7- Nuremberg-Munich
After a final breakfast in Nuremberg, depart for Munich. Meet a local guide for an orientation tour of the city, featuring the Marienplatz in the historic heart of the city. Balance of the day is at your leisure to explore. This evening enjoy a farewell dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)
Day 8 – Return to US
Following breakfast, depart for the airport and your return flight to the U.S. (B)
